Welcome to the 2005 "Field of Deeres"

John Deere was our featured tractor for 2005. In spite of a harsh summer with three devastating hurricanes which wreaked havoc on our club property, more vendors and exhibitors than ever before showed up for our February 2005 show. The following album shows only the many Deeres on display. They ranged everywhere from rusted hulks to spit-polished restorations. There was even the one and only Gold plated John Deere on display thanks to the owner who lives in Evansville, IN. There were also customized Deeres, especially the pink one driven by one of the ladies who pulls in our tractor pull.

My husband and I had just purchased a 1958 John Deere 420W that has been sitting out in a field for 7 years. Dead on arrival. So you will see every 420 that could be found in amongst the Deeres. The fellow with the beard is Lewis Johnson, who is undertaking the resurrection of our little 420W.
