Biennial Mike Sharp Memorial Tractor Drives & Banquets
Tractor Drive & Banquet Every Odd Year
Banquet Every Even Year
A Tractor Drive & Banquet in memory of Mike Sharp with proceeds benefiting
Local FFA & 4-H Chapters.
The Biennial Mike Sharp Memorial Tractor Drive through the Groves is every odd numbered year, starts early in the morning at the Florida Flywheelers Park and wanders through the groves to different locations each year. Lunch is served and everyone drives back through the groves to the park. Dinner is served at Florida Flywheelers Park during the evening Banquet. T-Shirts and prizes are passed out.
On the even numbered years, just the Banquet takes place
You can purchase just Banquet (dinner) tickets without the Drive
The first drive happened in February 2005. Due to Mike’s love of the cable shows, Farm Progress & Agribusiness, with Max Armstrong, he got the idea of a tractor drive and fundraiser for his other love, The Florida Flywheelers. Mike Sharp and Kevin Savage actually got Max Armstrong to be the Grand Marshall of our first tractor drive. It
was a huge success. That first drive was dubbed, Tractor Drive Threw the Eye of the Hurricane, after all the 2004 storms.
